Things are About to Get Deep

To continue with my article, I wanted to give the reader an understanding of how mental health outside of sports is crucial since many people struggle with it, even people that I know personally. I decided to do more research on mental health by first finding the general definition, the different types that exist, and the amount of people around the world that deal with mental health. The paragraph serves as the base to what I’ll be going into at a deeper level. I believe including this is important to enlighten the readers on the importance of mental health and how it correlates to my topic. I wanted to show an example of how social media can have a huge impact on people’s lives and I decided to use WNBA player Breanna Stewart's story. She had to deal with threats and homophobic emails that were being sent to her wife Marta Xargat during the WNBA finals. My name is Jonathan Romero, and I’m more than happy to show my project on exploring the importance of athletes' mental health and how social media can play a huge role in it. So enjoy as I demonstrate my thought process in this blog. What made me want to write my magazine about the effects of  social media in athletes' lives is how much I relate to them. In the introduction, I share my life experience as a fútbol player, I didn't have the best teammates which made me leave the team. However our social media team was all about friendship and determination. More Than Just an Interview

Hey guys, today I interviewed Hialeah Miami Lakes coach Ochoa. We talked through a zoom meeting that lasted around 30 minutes. At first I was nervous but luckily I had some questions prepared so when I started the interview I was well prepared. In the interview we covered a lot in the topic, it is something that she has seen as a major issue in current athletes. I recorded the interview to highlight the most important parts of the interview into my article and documentary. “Athletes tend to find self evaluation through social media by checking the comments made about them. It tends to be a source of ego boost for them, but what happens when they realize people are criticizing them?
